Perspectives on the painting of life

Every year we pass

Grade by grade

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Asked the teacher in every classroom

Giving us a depiction of life

As a hyper realistic painting

But as we age, as we grow

The painting it self, slowly opening our eyelid

Letting us see, its true self - an Abstract Painting

Some may get disappointed

And brush it with blue and grey

Some may gaze in amaze

And add more diverse colors and shapes

As they have realized

That the abstract

The unpredictabilities, mysteries, challenges, and limitations

Are what makes the painting of life

As a flower

In the midst of leaves
